Kyiv, XIX century. Panorama of the Dnieper Alexandrov descent. Alexander (now - Vladimir) from European descent goes to the Postal Square. It appeared in the beginning. XVIII century. (Started to build in 1711 by cutting Michael's Mount). In 1869 - 1919 was part of the Oleksandrivska street (Great Oleksandrivska) that passed through the area of the current Arsenal to Kontractova Square (in 1919 - 1944 was called Revolution street). The modern name comes from Vladimir Spousk above the monument to Prince Vladimir.
